Physical Therapists (PTs) are national board certified and state licensed health care professionals. They diagnose and treat people of all ages who have health-related conditions limiting their ability to move and perform activities of daily life. PTs provide the groundwork for gross motor skills necessary for sitting, standing, walking, and changing positions. They help patients become more mobile, and more comfortable, as they move. PTs also help prevent conditions which can limit a person's ability to move easily and safely by developing fitness and wellness programs contributing to healthy and active lifestyles.
